[SOLVED] Cannot GET / error

Hi! I have been just testing some types of Shinobi installs, I tried "The ninja way" and "Ubuntu: The easy way" in debian and raspbian environments. Besides that install runs fine, when I navigate to http://host_ip:8080 I get "Cannot GET /" error on screen and it is impossible to access to Shinobi, with pm2 list I see camera and cron running fine, but it is still not working, what can be wrong?
Sounds like ffmpeg isn't installed.
apt install ffmpeg
What is your output?

Cool! It worked fine so the problem was just ffmpeg missing, perhaps it wasnt clear at install guide. Shinobi is running like a charm now
Just wondering, how do you figured out that this was the problem? I googled it before and thought that it was a node.js issue.
By the way, now I would like to setup a Jienuo JN-IP501AR-B-WIFI (https://blog.sgalkin.info/2016/11/12/ccvt-jn-ip50-ar/) to record only on motion detection, how should this work? Camera detects movement and it sends a signal that shinobi understands and it just then starts recording?
Thanks for support
hehe the reason it gives this error is because when shinobi starts it checks the FFMPEG version. Since it doesn't exist it fails this command and halts the code so
app.get('/')is never set
motion can work easily in two ways.
using the motion plugin provided with shinobi
using the api to trigger the motion event with a GET request
cheers! i'll mark this topic as solved. if you need a hand getting it going you can post back here on this thread or make a new one
