Move files if motion detected, otherwise delete?

I'm currently using shinobi with our monitors in "Record" mode and our "Global Detector" set to "Delete motionless videos" so that we don't miss any frames at the beginning of motion. However this writes all events to disk, and then frequently deletes them as there's often no motion.
What I would like to do is initially record to another directory that I create with something like tmpfs (RAM). Then, when the recording is complete, if there was motion, copy it to different directory (i.e. a disk-backed fs), and if there wasn't anything, just delete it. Is there any way to set this up?
