Yes, thanks! With manually creating the database tables I was able to flush out a permissions problem and get it working. It's odd because this really is a bog standard 16.04 box, so I can't imagine how it got into this funky state, but it does seem to be okay now.
Now I just need to get my cheapo wifi cameras to actually stay up long enough to be recorded from, heh.
I have three different RTSP sources I've configured and they all worked. Perhaps your RTSP camera is simpler than it should be and is missing something?
Shinobi is beta. It's promising but only if the maintainer can hold to it and solicit some additional support over time. (Which right now just comes in the form of highly technical early adopters, posting on forums like "dude, what's up with your setup?".)
Hi, I a getting the same. M3u8 file message on opening any monitor for edit. Plus, I cannot record any detector events, the red bar under the monitor appears but never does a recording.
Plus the detector set up window never shows a picture, only a sand colored background.
This used to work until I upgraded to latest Dev on the super page.
Please can someone help, thanks Patrick
